  Over the years, media has become the source of body image guidelines in the society especially for women. Thinspiration or thinspo – a term used to call images and video montages of women, mostly are celebrities, who have slim to extra thin body –becomes dangerously popular among girls. Many of them celebrate being anorexic, and it is viewed as a trendy lifestyle.

Then ‘Pro Ana’ begins to arise. ‘Pro Ana’ is a term used as an expression to support a person with Anorexia Nervosa eating disorder. ‘Pro Ana’ can be divided by the ones who provide a positive, non-judgmental environment for the anorexics, and the ones who encourage anorexic condition as a lifestyle or in the other words, made it worse.
